Gilbert Marsiglia is the founder and President of Gilbert D. Marsiglia & Co., Inc. Residential Brokerage, Marsiglia & Co, Inc. Commercial Brokerage, Seth Douglas Inc., a fee based real estate brokerage company.
Marsiglia opened his real estate brokerage in 1973. Marsiglia’s main goal when he opened his office was to make sure he trained his agents to be the best in the real estate business.
All new agents spend 300 hours in a yearlong training program that covers 40 subjects and has trained some of the top agents in the business. The company’s training program is unequivocally the best and most comprehensive in the real estate industry in Maryland.
The company is a medium sized locally owned and operated real estate brokerage company serving the Baltimore Metropolitan Area.
Marsiglia opened Marsiglia & Co., Inc., a commercial brokerage company in 1996 and provides service in commercial, industrial, investment and land sales. In addition, the company also provides market and feasibility studies for brokers, developers and investors.
Seth Douglas was started in 1996 and is a traditional brokerage company but operates on a flat fee business model which gives the consumer the option of paying on a fee basis on the listing side versus a straight commission.

Marsiglia grew up in Baltimore and graduated from Loyola High School, the University of Baltimore, and the University of Baltimore Law School.
In his notable career, Marsiglia was chosen Realtor of the Year by the Greater Baltimore Board of Realtors in 1997. He was the recipient of the Distinguished Salesman Award from the Sales and Marketing Executives of Baltimore, the recipient of the Salesman of the Year Award from the Greater Baltimore Board of Realtors, the recipient of the Life Achievement Award from the Maryland Association of Realtors in 2008.
Marsiglia has served as the President of the Greater Baltimore Board of Realtors and President of the Maryland Association of Realtors. Marsiglia was the founder and part chairman or the Board of Directors of the Greater Baltimore Board of Realtors Charitable Foundation which raised approximately $500,000 during his tenure.
Marsiglia served as the Vice Chairman of the Metropolitan Regional Information Systems (The Industry Multiple Listing System from 2006-2014)
Marsiglia currently serves as member of the Board of Directors of Bright Multiple Listing Service, the largest Multiple Listing Service in the United States, with 80,000 members covering 6 state and the District of Columbia.
Marsiglia has served as a past member of the Board of Directors of Real Estate Business Intelligence, the Board of Directors of the National Association of Realtors, the Board of Directors of Wyman Park Federal Savings and Loan Association, the Board of Directors of Bradford Bank (which was sold to M & T Bank in 2009), the Board of Directors of the Greater Baltimore Alliance (the government and business marketing organization for the Baltimore Metropolitan Area, a member of the Board of Directors of John Dittmar & Sons, Inc. ( a millwork manufacturing co).
Marsiglia is a past instructor of Loyola University for the Real Estate Licensing Course, a past Assistant Professor at Dundalk Community College in the AA Degree program for Real Estate, and currently teaches the Licensing Course at the Greater Baltimore Board of Realtors.
Marsiglia currently hold the GRI Designation (Graduate Realtors Institute), the CRS Designation (Certified Residential Specialist), the CRB Designation (Certified Real Estate Broker), the CREA Designation (Certified Real Estate Appraiser) and has completed 16 courses in Commercial, Industrial, Property Management, Syndication, and Joint Ventures.
